Wemyss Fabrics was originally established at the weaving mill in East Wemyss, Fife, Scotland. The mill was built in the mid-nineteenth century, during the industrial revolution.

The present owners bought the company in 1982 and the manufacture of high quality, predominately linen based furnishing fabrics, continued at the East Wemyss site up until 2003 when Wemyss re-located to Dundee.

Wemyss new location incorporates a purpose built warehouse, sales office, design and technical studio offering trade customers a friendly and efficient service. The Wemyss trade showroom is located at Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, the focus of excellence for interior design in London.

The current collections from Wemyss retain many of its traditions in weaving plain and semi plain linen based fabrics but new collections also incorporate many new, innovative designs and styles including silks, room-high sheers, pocketed organzas, reversible taffetas and faux leathers.

Dedicated to producing high quality fabrics, beautifully styled and coloured Wemyss aim is to provide a quality service to the interior designer, retailer and contract specifier.
